WHY ??
Primarily my plot consist of a gangster sort which reminded me of north Madras. Since north of madras is a locality which remained as gangster site or spot for several years ,therefore I got influenced by the spot and I wanted to utilize this specific spot in my coursework.
Since the early 2000s, North Chennai has remained a fundamental hallmark in numerous films, including Madras (2014) which was based upon one of the issues encountered by Chennaites within North of Madras and it was conveyed through Pa Ranjith in the movie.
The region, lying north of the Coovum river (polluted river), remains the oldest part of Chennai and comprises, amongst others, Georgetown, Vyasarpadi, and the Royapuram fishing harbor. The land that once constituted “a couple of fishing villages, where lived several migrant fishing families”, as historian S Muthiah wrote in Tales of Old And New Madras (1989), has swelled into a sprawling metropolis. Today, North Chennai is among a high working-class population, remains and recognized for its fishing harbor, colonial structures, and matchbox houses as also for its sturdy labor and Dalit movements and its criminals.
North Chennai is quite distinct from other parts of the city, be it in terms of the personalities of people or the places. For instance, if a person enters a fish market, there will be a gunny bag covers on the roofs, which presents stunning shadows.
the region’s high crime rates, which subsequently are connected to its economy, If there is way more exceeding poverty within a community than there will be an inference of a crime connected to it, which is essentially an economic thing, In South Madras, there might probably be more major white-collar criminals. Since the gangs here were established a long time back, brutality is connected with the [northern] locality. But it is extremely more deep-rooted than that.
